9 FAQs About ProDezigns Custom Vehicle Wraps

Have you thought about wrapping your vehicle, whether for business or personal reasons? You probably have a lot of questions about the process and about vinyl vehicle graphics in general. Below are the answers to some frequently asked questions about our custom vehicle wraps at the Lake of the Ozarks:

1. What's involved in a vehicle wrap?

A: The vehicle wrap process is comprised of three phases. The first is the design phase, which includes getting accurate measurements for the vehicle and actual design of the graphics to be applied. The second is the production phase where the graphics are printed and then laminated to protect the vinyl from abrasions and UV rays. The third phase is installation where the vinyl is actually applied to your vehicle.

2. How long does it take to wrap a vehicle?

A: The time it takes to wrap a vehicle will vary from project to project. In general though, vehicle wraps can be installed in 1 to 3 days.

3. Will a vehicle wrap damage the car's paint job?

A: In most cases, vehicle wraps will not damage factory paint jobs. In fact, it will protect the factory paint. It is important to talk with the staff at Pro Dezigns and pre-test your paint job prior to wrapping with vinyl. Paint in poor condition may fail when vinyl is removed.

4. If a vehicle wrap is damaged, can it be fixed?

A: Yes. You can normally have the damaged pieces or panels of your vehicle wrap replaced after your vehicle is repaired. You also do not need to redo the entire wrap if the damage is limited to certain areas of the vehicle. Talk to the staff at our Missouri vehicle wrap shop for more information.

5. Can vehicle wraps be washed?

A: Vehicle wraps can be washed, and in fact, should be washed. However, the vinyl graphics should be hand-washed rather than ran through an automatic car wash to avoid damage.

6. Can a vehicle wrap be removed?

A: Vehicle wraps can be removed, but we recommend professional removal. When you want to change your wrap or sell your car, the vinyl can be removed the same way it was applied.

7. How long will a vehicle wrap last?

A: Vehicle wraps can last anywhere from 3 to 7 years depending on the care of them. Wrapped vehicles that are left outdoors and in the sun a lot could start to see some fading before other vehicles would.

8. How can the cost of a vehicle wrap be justified?

A: If a vehicle wrap is being used for marketing purposes, there is not a more cost-effective advertising method available. Why not use a vehicle to its fullest potential, to gain you business!

9. How does vehicle wrap advertising compare to other forms of advertising?

A: It has been proven that the cost per impression of vehicle wraps is less than other forms of advertising such as billboards, television, radio and yellow pages and even newspapers. According to The Traffic Audit Bureau for Media Measurement reports, vehicle wrap advertising can generate 30,000 to 70,000 daily vehicular impressions.
