10 Awesome Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Floats for This Year

Thanksgiving is almost here and with the holiday comes some awesome traditions.  Of course there's the large feast featuring turkey, but also with the traditions comes the annual Thanksgiving Day Parade.  The parade started in 1924, with live animals from Central Park Zoo and since has grown into this amazing tradition with giant balloons and spectacular floats.  ProDezigns wants to share with you some of the best floats you can expect to see in this year's parade!

1. 1-2-3 Sesame Street, Sesame Workshop

Sesame Street, the most famous street in the world, celebrates its 45th season of helping kids grow smarter, stronger and kinder. Coming to 34th Street for Thanksgiving on the stoop of 123 Sesame Street are your favorite friends and Muppets kicking off the holidays and bringing laughter to children everywhere.  The float will include a performance by the cast and Muppets of Sesame Street.

2. At the Ball Game, Cracker Jacks Popcorn

Inspired by another American pastime – arguably the most famous of them all - this new float features a baseball theme that builds on the tradition of Cracker Jack snacks and family experiences at the ballpark. And in a contemporary nod to everyone’s favorite photo opportunity, the float includes a family taking a “selfie.”  The float will include live cameras for spectators to see themselves on a larger-than-life LED screen above the stadium scoreboard.

3. Dreamseeker, Cirque Du Soleil

The visually stunning flying ship of DREAMSEEKER by Cirque du Soleil returns to the line-up for another spectacular performance. Seeming to take flight thanks in part to giant wings, DREAMSEEKER comes complete with custom-designed trampolines and many more acrobatic secrets.  At 52-feet long, 23-feet wide and 35-feet high, the grand ship is one of the longest, tallest and widest floats in the Parade.  The float will feature performance by Acrobats and character artists of Cirque Du Soleil.

4. The Enchanting World of Lindt Chocolate, Lindt

Orchestrating the creation of LINDT BEAR and other chocolate figures for the holidays, the puppeteer pulls the strings on life-sized marionettes and giant spoons in a dance of wonder. Float Facts: The Lindt Master Chocolatier figure moves and blinks thanks to a little Macy’s Parade magic and behind-the-scenes puppeteering.
Performer featured on this float is Tony Award winner and Broadway Superstar Idina Menzel.

5. Frozen Fall Fun, Discover

Hockey fans of all ages will be enthralled as they root for kids on the home team during this preview to the 2014 Discover NHL Thanksgiving Showdown. Transforming a hometown backyard into an ice rink for the ultimate holiday slap shot contest, the float comes complete with a giant Turkey goalie on defense. The skating surface is actually made of synthetic ice, a hard surface that can be skated on.
Performances by Pop/Rockers The Madden Brothers and NHL legends John LeClair and Pat LaFontaine will accompany this float.

7. On the Roll Again, Homewood Suites by Hilton

The adorable duck family is on the roll again as Lewis the Duck and his colorful kin take to the streets. Include Vehicle Wraps in Your 2015 Marketing Budget

The holiday season is upon us and the new year will be here before you know it!  Have you started thinking about your 2015 marketing budget? ProDezigns can make your business capital mobile, using full color graphics on a vehicle wrap.  From concept to completion, our award winning designers work closely with you to create a high-impact, custom promotional solution that best suits your individual marketing needs.

Benefits of Adding a Vehicle Wrap to Your Marketing Plan

1. Low Cost per Impression - Compared to other forms of advertising, vehicle wraps get more impressions.  The Traffic Audit Bureau for Media Measurement reports that vehicle wrap advertising can generate 30,000 to 70,000  daily vehicular impressions.

2. Increased Impact - A recent poll shows that: 90% of travelers notice graphics on wrapped vehicles, 75% of consumers form impressions about a company based on the fleet graphics, and 30% of consumers base buying decisions on impressions they receive from company vehicles.

3. Less Regulation - In most cases, you do not need a permit for vehicle wrap advertising.  However, you should always check with your supplier about laws in your area.

4. You Own It and Control It - Many forms of advertising, like billboards or radio are simply a rented amount of time.  With vehicle wraps, you own the graphics and the vehicle.  You also have the ability to advertise in areas where it would be impossible by any other means, such as huge shopping malls, sporting events or parades!  Vehicle wraps also serve as a great on premises sign while parked in front of your business!

Our vehicle wraps at the Lake of the Ozarks, Jefferson City and Columbia are cutting edge techniques, resulting in vehicle wraps that need to be seen to be believed!  Increase your exposure with a vehicle wrap by consulting with our experts regarding vinyl graphics, car decals and more. Your Vehicle Wrap Questions Answered

Many people have used billboards, print ads, the internet and more for all their marketing needs. Custom vehicle wraps however, are a new concept for many.  ProDezigns is here to answer all your questions and concerns when it comes to vehicle wraps at the Lake of the Ozarks, Jefferson City and Columbia.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can my vehicle wrap be removed?

A: Vehicle wraps are removable, but we recommend having a professional perform the removal. When you want to update your wrap or are ready to sell your car, the vinyl can be removed the same way that it was applied.

Q: What is involved in getting a vehicle wrap for my car?

A: Vehicle wraps, whether it be for your car, trailer, bus or helicopter, are all comprised of three separate phases.  The first is the design phase, which includes getting accurate measurements for the vehicle and actual design of the graphics to be applied.  The second is the production phase, where the graphics are printed and then laminated to protect the vinyl from abrasions and UV rays.  The third phase is the installation, where the vinyl is actually applied to your vehicle.

Q:  Do I have to wrap my entire vehicle?

A: You can either purchase a full wrap or a partial wrap.  Anything less than something that covers the entire vehicle is normally considered a "partial wrap."  The nice thing about partial wraps is that we can design your wrap to stay within your budget.

Q: Will a vehicle wrap damage my paint?

A: In most cases, vehicle wraps will not damage factory paint jobs.  In fact, it will protect that paint. It is important to talk with the design professionals at ProDezigns and pre-test your paint job prior to wrapping with vinyl.  Paint in poor condition may fail when vinyl is removed.  For more on this topic, check out our blog titled "Vehicle Wraps Can Protect Your Factory Paint Job!"

Q: How long will it take to wrap my vehicle?

A: The time it takes to wrap a vehicle varies from project to project.  However, in general, most vehicle wraps can be installed in as little as 1-3 days.

Q: If my vinyl vehicle wrap graphics are damaged, can they be fixed?

A:  You can normally have any damaged pieces or panels of your vehicle wrap replaced after your vehicle is repaired.  Many times you won't have to redo the entire wrap as long as the damages are limited to certain areas of the vehicle.  If you find yourself in this situation, contact one of our design specialists for more information.

Q: How can I justify the cost of a vehicle wrap?

A: If you are using your vehicle wrap as a marketing tool, there is no more cost-effective method of advertising available.  Why not use your vehicle to its fullest potential, to gain you business! it has been proven that the cost per impression of vehicle wraps is less than other forms of advertising such as billboards, television, radio, yellow pages and even newspapers!

At ProDezigns, we strive to give our clients the highest level of service and satisfaction.  We hope this blog answered your questions about getting a vehicle wrap in Jefferson City, Columbia or Lake of the Ozarks areas.  If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to call us at 573-392-0500.
