5 Common Misconceptions About Vehicle Wraps

While vehicle wraps aren't a new concept, there are still a lot of misconceptions about them floating around. Keep reading to learn about some of the most common misconceptions that people believe. ProDezigns is here to set the record straight with the truth of the matter.

1. Custom Vehicle Wraps are Too Expensive.

While the upfront cost may seem like a large expense, your vehicle wrap will last for 5+ years if properly maintained. Spread the cost out over those years and consider the number of impressions you can get from auto advertising, and a custom vehicle wrap from ProDezigns is hands down the best bang for your buck when it comes to marketing. In addition, we offer financing to help you pay for your vehicle wrap in manageable monthly payments.

2. Vinyl Graphics Damage the Vehicle's Paint.

One of the most common misconceptions about vehicle graphics is that the vinyl application damages the factory paint job on your vehicle. However, just the opposite is true. If your paint is in good condition to begin with, the vinyl covering actually protects the paint from scratches and fading. When you're ready to remove your vehicle graphics, they can be removed just as they were applied, revealing a vehicle that looks as good as new!

3. A Vehicle Wrap is Difficult to Maintain.

Maintaining your Lake of the Ozarks vehicle wrap is honestly not much different than maintaining your vehicle itself. You'll want to clean the vehicle wrap regularly to prevent damage from debris, gas, oil, etc. When cleaning your wrapped vehicle, you'll want to make sure to wash it by hand and never take it through an automatic car wash, as the brushes can damage the vinyl. You'll also want to try to park the wrapped vehicle in shaded areas to avoid too much sunlight which could possibly lead to fading.

4. You Can't Put Vehicle Graphics on Windows.

While you can't put vinyl vehicle graphics on the windshield, you can wrap the rear side windows and the rear windshield. There's a perforated vinyl with tiny holes that allows you to look out from inside the vehicle just as if there were no window coverings. Those looking at your windows from the outside would see a completed graphic, advertising your business.

5. Vehicle Wraps are Difficult to Remove.

While we recommend professional removal of your vehicle graphics, they can be removed just as easily as they were installed. When you're ready for a new look or ready to sell your vehicle, just bring it to us and we can remove the graphics. With just a little heat, the vinyl will lift off the vehicle, leaving behind no residue. As mentioned above, the paint underneath will look as good as it did when the vinyl vehicle wrap was applied.
