Advertising Phsycology: 4 Tactics to Try

What drives customers to purchase your product or service? Psychology could have something to do with it. Many successful marketers use psychology to appeal to consumers. In today's blog, your Missouri vehicle wrap shop offers a few psychological marketing tactics that you can try:

1. Use Emotion.

Studies have shown that emotional and psychological appeals resonate more with consumers than if you just push the product features and functions. Focus on the benefits your product or service provides rather than just the features. By drawing an emotional response from your consumers, you're more likely to win them over. How will buying this product or service make someone feel? Consider designing your Lake of the Ozarks car wrap to include and image or phrase that shows a key benefit of your product!

2. Reposition Your Competition.

Consumers have a limited amount of space in their brain when it comes to storing product and service information. Therefore, positioning is key for successful marketing of your product or service. Once an old idea is overturned, its relatively easy to slip a new one in there. Be aware that there's a difference between repositioning and comparing your product or services to those of your competitors.

3. Evoke Fear, Uncertainty or Doubt.

Often times, businesses and organizations will use fear, uncertainty or doubt (FUD) to make consumers stop and think, ultimately changing their behavior. People are always afraid of the unknown and when used correctly, this psychological marketing tactic could be beneficial to your business. What will happen if said consumer doesn't have your product or service?

4. Promote Scarcity and Urgency.

One of the best persuasion techniques could be invoking scarcity and a sense of urgency. Limited time offers or limited availability tend to create a buzz and make people want to buy now so they don't miss out. Early bird specials are also a great example; people will buy now to avoid having to pay more later. Consider having us wrap your wall or storefront windows with a limited time promotion - the vinyl can easily be removed when the promotion is over.

When you're thinking about your marketing strategy, keep the fact that psychology plays a big role in consumer decisions in mind. While some of these tactics can be implemented into your custom vehicle wrap at the Lake of the Ozarks, it's important to think about your marketing as a whole and how different pieces of advertising are working together to promote your business. When it comes to creating your wrap, our talented designers will work with you to create a custom promotional solution to meet your specific wants and needs. How the Summer Sun Can Affect Your Vehicle Wrap

During the winter months, you have to be aware of the effects snow, ice and road salt have on your vehicle. However, you also have to think about how the hot summer weather can affect your vehicle and custom vehicle wrap at the Lake of the Ozarks. Here are a few things for you to consider when trying to keep your vehicle wrap in optimum condition throughout the summer months:

Vehicle Wraps and UV Rays

One of the great things about vehicle wraps is that they protect your custom paint job from the harmful effects of UV rays. What's protecting your vehicle wrap though? While vinyl vehicle graphics are designed to stand up to UV rays, extended exposure to the sun could lead to a shorter life for your vehicle wrap. The intensity of sun damage can vary due to vehicle use and location (the risk of exposure increases for areas with higher elevation).

Protecting Your Wrap

To increase the life of your wrap, try to park it in the shade or in a garage when the vehicle is not in use. If you do have to park it outside in the sun, try to park in a different direction each time to avoid over exposure to a certain part of the vehicle. In addition, regular maintenance can keep your wrap looking shiny and new. Most people think about washing their car on nice days. However, keep in mind that vehicle wraps and those fancy car washes don't mix. Rather than running your vehicle wrap up against the harsh brushes in automatic car washes, you should wash your vehicle by hand and avoid harsh solvents. Applying an approved wax can also help protect your Missouri vehicle wrap from the sun.

Why You NEED to Brand Your Small Business

While branding is important for any business, it's especially crucial for small businesses. One of the big struggles with small family-owned businesses is the competition of major chains who spend a ton of money on advertising and branding. The main way people know about your business is by word of mouth. However, with a good branding strategy, you can increase your reach and bring in new customers.

What is Branding?

Branding isn't just a logo, it's a set of beliefs. The logo, the color scheme, the tagline or slogan and the mission of the company all come together to create what is known as the "brand." When people hear your business name or see your logo, they get a certain image in their mind. That image is your brand, it's how others perceive and recognize your company.

Here are a few reasons why branding is so important, especially for small businesses:

1. Improves Recognition.

A strong brand is easily recognized. Think the golden arches of McDonalds, everyone knows that symbol. While you may not get the brand recognition that big chains like McDonalds do, a great brand is going to be remembered. For this reason, logo design, color scheme and message are all critical pieces of a great brand.

2. Creates Trust.

A professional and consistent brand builds credibility and trust for your business. People are more likely to buy from a brand that, if they don't recognize, they think looks legitimate - and a brand can do that. Emotional reactions are very real influencers when it comes to making a purchase, and a good brand is a great way to create an emotional tie to your business.

3. Strengthens Advertising.

Consistency is important when it comes to marketing. If you throw out a bunch of advertising pieces with different color schemes, random graphics and a variety of messages, people are going to be confused what business the advertisement is about. By creating a strong brand, you'll use that as the base for all your marketing and advertising.

4. Generates New Customers

Branding enables your company to get more referral business. If someone loves your product or service, they need something to associate it with your company. That "something" is your brand. It's hard to refer someone to something that you can't remember. This goes back to recognition and brand awareness. Your brand is how your customers identify your business and you want it to be memorable.

Branding with Vehicle Wraps

When it comes to branding, advertising does one of two things: sway brand choice for those ready to buy or build brand awareness in those not ready to buy. Lake of the Ozarks custom vehicle wraps can do both! Utilizing new marketing techniques that have been proven time and again to be creative, innovative and on the cutting edge of technology will create a lasting impact to all that see your advertising. ProDezigns is making your business capital mobile through the use of full color graphics on vehicle wraps! Call 573-392-0500 to get started on your design today.

The Importance of Branding Your Business

Does your business have a brand? What does that brand say about you? Branding is all about how your customers perceive you. This includes everything from your logo and marketing to your website and the way you interact with your customers. Let's take a look at why branding is so important, for small and large businesses alike, and how Missouri's best wrap shop can help!

1. Branding Promotes Recognition.

People tend to do business with companies they are familiar with, and the best way to accomplish that familiarity is through branding. If you are consistent with your branding, people will recognize you more easily. Just think about the brands that will ever be ingrained in our heads: the golden arches of McDonald's, the polar bear of Coca-Cola, and the list goes on.

2. Branding Creates Trust.

Your brand says a lot about your business: who you are, what you do and how you do it. A professional appearance through branding will be credibility and trust with your customers. People are more likely to purchase from a business that knows who they are and what they want and can demonstrate that to it's customers.

3. Branding Helps Set You Apart from Competitors.

With competition growing more and more each day, it's extremely important to stand apart. Your brand can help you establish yourself as the expert in your field. Through your branding, you can demonstrate why you are the best and why someone should choose you over your competitors. (Be sure to do this without putting down your competitors.)

4. Branding Provides Motivation and Direction for Employees.

Branding isn't all about your customers, it also has a lot to do with your employees. Your brand sets the scene for workplace culture. Having a clear brand strategy provides the clarity your staff needs to be successful. The best work comes from organization, guidelines and goals - all things your brand can provide.

5. Branding Generates Referrals.

People like to talk and they're going to talk about the things they see and like. People wear brands, eat brands, listen to brands, etc. People aren't going to talk about you if they don't know about you or remember you. A strong brand is critical when it comes to spreading the word about your business.

The History Behind Vehicle Wraps

Vehicle wraps are becoming an ever popular way to advertise your business. They present a way for you to take your marketing with you and advertise in places you wouldn't be able to by any other means. So how did the concept of wrapping your vehicle begin? ProDezigns has the answers!

The First Vehicle Wrap

Vehicle wrapping began over a decade ago in the United Kingdom. In the early 1990s a concern with German taxis led to the creation of an exciting new industry. The first vehicle wrap project was a taxi, covered in vinyl by Kay Premium Marking Films. Before this invention, all taxis were painted an unattractive beige color, making it almost impossible to resell the vehicles after their life as a taxi.

The development of vinyl vehicle wraps allowed a black taxi to be wrapped in the required beige color. Nearly 3 years later when the wrap was removed, a pristine black paint without scratches was found. The creation of vehicle wraps not only greatly improved the resale value by protecting the paint, it also saved money by eliminating complete resprays.

Vehicle Wraps Today

Once people saw how versatile vehicle wraps were, they became a new way of advertising. Vehicle wraps have evolved to much more than just a protective vinyl coating of a singular color. Custom vehicle graphics can be created and printed on the vinyl to create a unique look representing your business. Vehicle wraps are cost-effective, high-quality and have a quick turnaround time.

At ProDezigns, we strive to give our clients the highest level of service, satisfaction and personal attention to detail with every project we do. 3 Tips to Protect Your Shiny New Vehicle Wrap

When you choose to market your business with a vehicle wrap in Columbia, Jefferson City or Lake of the Ozarks, you've made a great investment! Vehicle wraps are one of the most effective and affordable ways to market your business. Our cutting edge technology will create a lasting impact to all that see your advertising! So how to you keep that vehicle wrap looking sharp? ProDezigns has some tips for you to follow to keep your new custom graphics in tip-top shape!

1. Clean It Regularly.

One of the best ways you can care for your ProDezigns custom vehicle wrap is by keeping it clean. Getting rid of dirt, dust, grime and other contaminants such as bird poop before they have a chance to adhere to the vinyl. When washing your vinyl wrap, it is best to manually wash your vehicle instead of taking it through an automatic car wash. These car washes use abrasive brushes and powerful jet sprays that can peel off or damage your wrap. It is worth the extra time to hand wash your vehicle. Make sure to use a soft cloth to avoid scratching the wrap. When it comes to detergents, be sure to use a chemical-free and alcohol-free option. These are easier to rinse off and won't damage the wrap.

2. Frequently Wax and Polish.

You want your wrapped vehicle to stand out when you're driving around. You want people to notice your wrap and that that's not going to happen if you let it become dull. You will need to frequently wax and polish the wrap to keep its luster. Wrapped vehicles are shined the same way you polish any vehicle's surface. The only difference is that the vinyl is easily damaged by abrasive polishes, so be sure to get a recommendation from your vehicle wrap installer at the Lake of the Ozarks.

3. Avoid Excess Sun Exposure.

Sun exposure hastens the deterioration of the vinyl used in your custom vehicle wrap. This makes it very important to keep your vehicle shaded when not in use. If you have an open parking space, then cover your van or truck with a thick cloth to serve as a barrier against the suns rays.

10 Tips for Inspiring Creativity

When it comes to marketing your business, creativity is a key aspect. Creativity is especially important when it comes to vehicle wraps in Columbia, Jefferson City or the Lake of the Ozarks. You want to create a custom vehicle wrap that stands out, while keeping it simple and easy for customers to understand. Sometimes its difficult to get those creative juices flowing, so here are some tips from Inc.com you can try:

1. Keep a Notebook for Thoughts.

There's nothing worse than getting a great idea and then forgetting it before you can impliment it. By keeping a notebook with you, you can record ideas as soon as they come to you.  You could even keep virtual notes on your smarphone. Then when you need to get creative, you have ideas to get you started.

2. Use Your Surroundings.

The environment you're in can inspire great ideas. Sometimes you come up with an idea in the most unlikely of places. If you're looking at the same four walls all day long, you're limiting your perspective. Take a break and get out of the office. Instead of eating your lunch at your desk, take it outside when the weather is nice. If you can't leave your office, add some elements to help inspire you, such as pictures, plants, books or toys.

3. Ask Questions.

There are multiple ways to solve problems.  Asking "Why?" and "How?" can help you understand things in a new way.  Another great question to ask youself is, "What's Missing?"  Use these questions to get more details and help you expand your idea.

4. Turn It Around.

Sometimes switching gears is all you need to get creative. Try looking for the opposite of what you want. Sometimes exploring how to make a bad situation worse can tell you what not to do.  When you're stuck on something, a different perspective could be the solution.

5. Combine Random Ideas.

Try to figure out how to use two very different items together. For example, maybe you have a bottle of water and an ink pen on your desk, how can you put those together to form an idea? You may not generate a useful idea with some water and and pen, but you can train your brain to see different possibilities by using this exercise.

6. Recruit Help.

Sometimes you need another person's perspective to finish an idea. Find a friend, family member or coworker to bounce your ideas off of. Choose someone that you're comfortable with, but who will challenge you when necessary. When it comes to your vehicle wrap, the team at ProDezigns is ready to hear your ideas!

7. Read Something New.

If you find yourself reading the same old newspapers, trade publications, blogs and the like, try picking up something new.  A murder mystery, a gardening book, a Shakespeare volume or anything that will teach you something you don't know could be the key to getting those creative juices flowing.

8. Accept Failure and Move On.

When trying new and different approches, expect to make mistakes. No one is perfect and when it comes to creativity there's not one simple solution. Sometimes colossal failures can lead to amazing successes and perfect ideas!

9. Channel Your "Inner Child."

Maybe you've noticed how most kids are unafraid to take gigantic risks or make fools of themselves? They haven't been trained to use a safe approach and sometimes that just what we need to come up with a great idea. Even if a child's ideas aren't fully developed, their dreams are big enough to take chances. This is something we need to re-learn as adults to increase our creativity.

10. Relax Your Brain.

If you're brain is on overload, you're going to have trouble coming up with that great idea. Give your subconcious a chance to work by turning your brain off every once in awhile. Rather than constantly focusing on solving problems, take time to exercise and relax.  Give yourself permission to think about other things and remember that a tired mind won't generate fresh ideas.

Use these tips to help you come up with the most creative idea for your vehicle wrap at the Lake of the Ozarks, Jefferson City or Columbia.  The staff at ProDezigns can help you perfect your idea and turn it into an awesome piece of art. That cook was Colonel Harland Sanders of course, and now KFC is the world's most popular chicken restaurant chain!

1. Low Cost per Impression - Compared to other forms of advertising, vehicle wraps get more impressions.  The Traffic Audit Bureau for Media Measurement reports that vehicle wrap advertising can generate 30,000 to 70,000  daily vehicular impressions.

2. Increased Impact - A recent poll shows that: 90% of travelers notice graphics on wrapped vehicles, 75% of consumers form impressions about a company based on the fleet graphics, and 30% of consumers base buying decisions on impressions they receive from company vehicles.

3. Less Regulation - In most cases, you do not need a permit for vehicle wrap advertising.  However, you should always check with your supplier about laws in your area.

4. You Own It and Control It - Many forms of advertising, like billboards or radio are simply a rented amount of time.  With vehicle wraps, you own the graphics and the vehicle.  You also have the ability to advertise in areas where it would be impossible by any other means, such as huge shopping malls, sporting events or parades!  Vehicle wraps also serve as a great on premises sign while parked in front of your business!

Our vehicle wraps at the Lake of the Ozarks, Jefferson City and Columbia are cutting edge techniques, resulting in vehicle wraps that need to be seen to be believed!  Increase your exposure with a vehicle wrap by consulting with our experts regarding vinyl graphics, car decals and more. 5 Tips for Creating a Strategic Vehicle Wrap

ProDezigns vehicle wraps can be one of the best marketing tools you invest in.  You can't just throw a bunch of graphics and words together and be done though. Behind every great vehicle wrap, there's a strategy.  From concept to completion our award winning designers work closely with you to create a high-impact, custom promotional solution that best suits your individual marketing needs!

Vehicle Wrap Strategy

1. Define Goals - What is the purpose of getting a vehicle wrap at the Lake of the Ozarks, Jefferson City or Columbia?  What do you want to accomplish with your vehicle wrap?  You'll also need to think about how you're going to measure its effectiveness.

2. Create a Clear, Consistent Message -  How your company looks to the outside world sets a tone for all your interactions.  Think about who your target audience is and why.  What challenges or problems does your product or service fix?  Getting to the root of what you do and why you do it will help you come up with a direct message that relates to your clients and is easy for them to understand.

3. Short and Sweet - Although vehicle wraps can generate 30,000 to 70,000 vehicular impressions per day, most people viewing it will not give it more than a few seconds of attention.  If you're stopped at a stop light, you may get a little more time to impress them; however, most of the time they will be seeing your wrap as your cruising down the highway.  The less information you put on your vehicle wrap, the easier it's going to be to get your message across. Would you rather have 10 things that no one remembers or one to two memorable takeaways?  Keep the design short and sweet and to the point.

4. Call to Action - Tell your customers what you want them to do.  Do you want them to call you? Do you want them to schedule an appointment?  Add a call to action with your phone number.  You could even consider offering a discount for those that say they saw your vehicle driving around.  If you choose to do this though, keep in mind tip #3 and keep it short and sweet!

5. Follow Guidelines - If your company belongs to a franchise, you may have certain guidelines that you have to follow.  Be sure to look into this before starting on your custom vehicle wrap in Jefferson City, Columbia or Lake of the Ozarks.  Another important thing to consider is that you don't use any messages or images that infringe on anyone else's copyrights.
