FAQs for Custom Wraps

Wrapping a vehicle at the Lake of the Ozarks, is a high impact solution for advertising your business. You may have some questions regarding how the process works before you are ready to make a commitment. ProDeZigns answers some frequently asked questions below:

How Large Can ProDeZigns Print?
Our digital output can produce full color images any size. We have wrapped speed boats, large travel trailers, and even helicopters!

What Are Your Turnaround Times?
The time it takes to do a wrap varies from project to project. Getting your design right is the most time-consuming part of the process. It is critical that we capture your vision correctly. Once we have your approval, the wrap can typically be installed in one to three days.

What is the Best Best Color of a Vehicle for a Wrap?
Any base color on a vehicle can be wrapped, but a black vehicle helps hide any areas that may not match the vinyl graphics such as around the doors, moldings, and gas cap filler door.

Can A Leased Car Be Wrapped?
You will need to get permission from your leasing company, but in most cases you can. In general, most leased vehicles have factory paint jobs with excellent paint quality. Vinyl applied over factory paint is best because wraps can be removed easily without any damage.

Can I Wrap a Vehicle Myself?
Applying a vehicle wrap is a difficult process that demands a high level of expertise. Unless you have been trained and have experience installing a wrap, you may find it difficult to prevent wrinkles and bubbles, which are most likely to happen, particularly on complex curves.

How Do I Care For a Wrap?
Here are some general guidelines to keep your car wrap clean and to prolong the life of it:
  • Wait one week after your vehicle wrap installation to wash.
  • Leave windows up for three days if you have window graphics. Thereafter, avoid rolling windows down as much as possible.
  • Never use a rear-window wiper on a wrapped window as it leaves a wear pattern in the laminate.
  • Hand wash using a soft towel or sponge and mild soap is best. Do not use corrosives or solvents (i.e. alcohol). Waxing is not advised and could damage the finish.
  • If a car wash is to be used, avoid high-pressure washes. Only use a soft brush car wash.
  • Sweeping off windows with a soft broom and rear defroster will not cause damage to window graphics. Never use an ice scraper.
  • To prolong life of the graphic, it is best to keep it under cover when not in use.
  • In the event of natural wear and tear over time, please contact us in order to purchase vinyl or window replacements.
How Long Does the Wrap Last?
Longevity depends on where you are applying your wrap and environmental conditions. Wraps on vehicles and boats can last several years depending on wear and tear.
