5 Ways to Show Your Patriotism this 4th of July

With the 4th of July just around the corner, we're thinking about stars & stripes, and red, white & blue. Independence Day is all about celebrating the history of our country and what better way to do that than with a little patriotism. How do you like to show your patriotism? Here are 5 great ways to show your support this holiday weekend, or really any time of the year for that matter!

1. Fly a Flag. 


Flying the American flag is probably one of the most patriotic things you can do. Whether you have one up on a giant flagpole at the office, hanging off the front of your house or one of the little ones you hold in your hand during a parade, the flag is a true symbol of patriotism. According to a Fox News poll last year, 94% of the respondents said that proudly displaying the "Stars and Stripes" is a true show of patriotism.

2. Volunteer at a Veteran's Home.  


While not all of us are brave enough or have the ability to join the military, we can serve our country here at home by volunteering. Giving back to those who have courageously served our country is a great way to show your patriotism. Volunteer at your local veteran's home this holiday weekend; sometimes the residents just need someone to visit with them.

3. Participate in a Parade. 


Show that you're proud to be an American by participating in a 4th of July parade! Many cities hold a 4th of July parade each year where participants decorate their vehicles in red, white and blue. Some people even create extravagant floats to show their patriotism and dress themselves up too!



4. Sing the National Anthem. 


Whether in front of a large crowd or with your family at home, singing the national anthem is a great way to show your patriotism. Why Do I Need to Clean My Vehicle Wrap? 


Your car needs washed regularly, so why would one that is wrapped be any different. How Do I Clean My Vehicle Wrap? 


To prolong the life of your custom graphics, follow these cleaning and maintenance tips from SignIndustry.com:
  1. The best way to clean a wrap is by hand with a mild detergent and water. 
  2. Be sure to rinse the vehicle prior to washing to help avoid scratching the graphics. 
  3. Gently agitate a soapy mild detergent and water solution with a soft cloth or sponge, starting from the top of the vehicle and working down. 
  4. Avoid abrading the film surface with unnecessary scrubbing. 
  5. It is important to rinse the graphic thoroughly with clean water when finished to remove any soap residue. 
  6. Allow the water to dry naturally or dab dry with a soft, non-abrasive towel, being careful not to lift the film edges. 
  7. It is not recommended to take a wrapped vehicle through an automatic car wash. The automated brush kind should definitely be avoided, as the brushes can scratch the wrap or catch the edge of the vinyl and create a failure point. 
  8. If you're going to wax your custom vehicle wrap, be sure to avoid wax that contains petroleum distillate, which can damage the wrap. 
  9. Try to avoid pressure washing it as well. Excessive pressure or spraying at the wrong angle with a pressure washer can cause damage and create failure points in your vinyl. 
  10. Another good wrap cleaning option is to use waterless washes. These products help maintain the gloss level and performance of the vehicle wrap.
