The Meanings of Red, White and Blue

One of the most effective aspects of marketing revolves around color choices. A great color scheme not only highlights your brand, but can bring an entire advertising campaign together. Additionally, those colors each have different meanings and can bring out different emotions in people. In honor of Memorial Day coming up, we wanted to take a deeper look at the colors red, white and blue.

Memorial Day

Each year, Memorial Day is celebrated on the last Monday in May. It is a day to remember those who died in active military service. One of the main symbols representing our country and those who serve it is our flag. For over 200 years now, the flag has symbolized the unity and strength of our country. It is a source of inspiration and pride for our citizens, and has turned out to be a viable icon in the history of our nation. So why red, white and blue?

Red

In reference to the flag, the color red signifies hardiness and valour. In addition, red is the color of fire and blood. It is associated with energy, war, danger, strength, power, and determination, as well as passion, desire and love. Red is a very emotionally intense color that enhances the human metabolism and increases respiration rate and raises blood pressure. Therefore, it should be used in moderation. It's the perfect choice for advertising something like "Buy Now" or "Click Here."

White

The white stripes on the flag signify purity and innocence. White is also associated with light and goodness, and is considered to be the color of perfection. As opposed to the color black, white usually has a positive connotation. In advertising, white is associated with coolness and cleanliness. You can use white to suggest simplicity and safety as well. White is often used to promote low weight, low-fat foods and dairy products. While white isn't really stimulating to the senses, it opens the way for the creation of anything the mind can conceive. However, too much white can cause feelings of isolation and emptiness.

Blue

The color blue in the star section of the flag signifies vigilance, perseverance and justice. Blue is also the color of the sky and sea. It's often associated with depth and stability. Blue also symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith and truth. The color is considered beneficial to the mind and body. Opposite of the color red, it slows human metabolism and produces calming effects. Blue is strongly associated with tranquility and calmness, and is also linked to consciousness and intellect. According to studies, blue is very masculine, so if you're target market is males, blue could be a great choice. You should avoid blue when promoting food and cooking because it suppresses appetite.

Creating an Effective Vehicle Wrap Design

Wrapping your vehicle at the Lake of the Ozarks is an innovative way to advertise your business, but it is important to understand the fundamentals of creating an effective vehicle wrap. Proper branding, a straightforward message, and readability are some of the factors that will determine your vehicle wrap's success. ProDezigns can help you get the maximum impact for your vehicle design. Here are some guidelines to follow to make sure your company is getting the biggest return on its advertising investment:

Create a Recognizable Brand

Is your brand consistent with your message? Since the brand is the primary message for your vehicle wrap, make sure your logo and identity are sharp and recognizable within the community. Starting with poor branding means you have failed before you have even begun.

Don't Give In to Personal Tastes

Just because you saw a vehicle wrap that you like doesn't mean it will appeal to your target customer. Advertising is about your target market, not your personal likes and dislikes. Choose a wrap that will create shock value for your desired clientele.

Send a Clear Message

Eliminate all the visual clutter. Make sure your text is not lost on a noisy background. Create something with an impact that can be read and remembered. Sometimes simplicity can be the most effective way to get your message across. A viewer has very limited time to absorb the advertising and understand the message. It also must be legible from a distance. You have very limited time to capture the viewer’s attention and have your brand and message be understood and remembered.

Limit Your Advertising Copy

There are a few things that really make a wrap stand out: strong brand implementation, a tagline message, a web address, and a phone number. Limiting your text gives the reader a greater chance to remember it. It is more effective to list 2 memorable details than 10 bullet points.

Choose a Wrap that Matches Your Vehicle's Attributes

If you are driving a rugged SUV or large truck, forget pastel colors, unless you are selling makeup. Work with the style of your vehicle, so that the qualities of your brand and the vehicle are consistent. Furthermore, if you drive a Smart Car, your wrap should depict a savvy, cute, or efficient business.

Reasons Why Car Owners Wrap Their Personal Vehicles

It is well known that wrapping a vehicle at the Lake of the Ozarks has many advantages when it comes to advertising businesses. With eye-catching colors and graphics, durability, and cost-effectiveness, it's no wonder wrapping personal vehicles has become more popular. Here are some reasons why car owners wrap their own vehicles:

They Want to Drive Something Different

Many car owners want to drive something different than the ordinary car colors like black, red, white, or silver. You can choose from a large palette of matte or pearl colors or go with something a little more bold like flames or an image. Many cars come in "widely-accepted colors" to improve the car's trade-in value, which doesn't offer much in terms of individuality. In addition, you can change the wrap whenever you feel like it to reflect your style.

It Protects The Vehicle

Wraps protect the original factory paint of the vehicle. By wrapping your vehicle you can prevent damage from stone chips, abrasions, and other natural driving hazards. However, paint in poor condition may fail when vinyl is removed. It is important to talk to the staff at ProDeZigns and have them pre-test your paint job prior to wrapping your vehicle with vinyl.

It Can Be Fixed

You can generally have damaged pieces or panels of your vehicle wrap replaced. You also do not need to redo the entire wrap if the damage is limited to certain areas of the vehicle.

They Are Easy to Care For

Mild soap and water is sufficicient on vehicle wraps, but the vehicle should be washed regularly, as road grime can cause degradation. It is not recommended to use "beater brush" car washes.

It is Affordable

Prices for custom vehicle wraps continue to become more affordable for the average car owner. In most cases, it beats the price of a custom paint job. Keep in mind, a paint job might end up depreciating the value of your car drastically, whereas a wrap is removable.

ProDeZigns Can Make Your Vehicle Stand Out From the Rest

If you want your vehicle to reflect your personality rather than look like a mass-produced car, like everyone else is driving, then you should consider a vehicle wrap at the Lake of the OzarksProDeZigns doesn't stop at your car.
